Description	:	Harley Wolff, 81, of Eureka died March 14, 2008 at home in the loving care of family. Harley Wolff, son of Gust and Martha (Gross) Wolff was born November 4, 1926 south of Eureka. At the age of 11, the family moved to Eureka. He was united in marriage to Audrey Mutschler on May 8, 1949 in Eureka. Harley served in the U.S. Army during World War II, in the Philippines. Read More	Harley Wolff, 81, of Eureka died March 14, 2008 at home in the loving care of family. Harley Wolff, son of Gust and Martha (Gross) Wolff was born November 4, 1926 south of Eureka. At the age of 11, the family moved to Eureka. He was united in marriage to Audrey Mutschler on May 8, 1949 in Eureka. Harley served in the U.S. Army during World War II, in the Philippines. After his discharge in 1946, he went to work for Krause Implement as a parts man and salesman. In 1952 he joined his father in the automobile business, selling and servicing Buick and Pontiac cars and GMC trucks. He managed the Jack & Jill grocery store for several years and started his own commercial spraying business. He worked part-time at the Eureka Livestock and Eureka Post Office. Harley started working for Schaeffer manufacturing as bookkeeper and office manager in 1969. In 1970 he was promoted to general manager, where he stayed until 1985. In 1980 Harley and Audrey built an FHA elderly housing project in the Sunrise Addition of Eureka. Harley served terms as alderman on the Eureka City Council and on the Zion Lutheran Church Board of Directors. He was a member of VFW and served as Post Commander for several terms. He was also a member of the American Legion. Harley was on the Eureka Cardinals Baseball team from 1946 to 1960, they were the 1955 state champions. Survivors include his wife of Eureka, two daughters, Karen (Tim) Weber and Sandy (Woody) Boyd both of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, one son Gary (Sheila) Wolff of Eureka, two sisters, Alvina Schaeffer of Garner, Iowa and Donna (John) Chambliss of Casselberry, Florida, two brothers Herb (Sharie) Wolff of Rapid City, SD and Don (Linda) Wolff of Topeka, Kansas, 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His parents and one sister Loretta Wolff preceded him in death. Honorary casketbearers will be the members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Casketbearers will be Casey Wolff, Owen Wolff, Zach Boyd, Tanner Muckridge, Steve Wolff, Jason Wolff, David Roggenkamp and Don Kallenberger. The organist will be Lana Hilgemann. Funeral service for Harley Wolff will be 1:30pm, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Eureka. Rev. Linda Wahlstrom will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Eureka with military graveside rites by the Fred Weller American Legion Post #186. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7pm with a 7pm prayer service at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will give memorials to the Eureka Veterans Memorial for upkeep and perpetual care. Carlsen Funeral Home of Eureka have been entrusted with arrangements.
