Read More	Harold (Bucko) Coy, former Tipton high school basketball star and later with the Tipton Independents, died at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Lowry, 3715 East Vermont street, in Indianapolis at 10 o'clock Thursday night, death ending a battle waged for several years against tuberculosis. Since taken ill the young man had fought a valiant fight to regain his health, spending several months in the Sunnyside Sanatorium in Indianapolis, and later going to Phoenix, Arizona, where he remained for more than one year. He was brought home by his father, Arthur M. Coy of Frankfort, three weeks ago, at that time being in a critical condition and was taken to Indianapolis with the intention of again placing him in the Sunnyside Sanatorium, but was so ill that he remained at the home of his wife's mother. The body was brought to the Young mortuary in Tipton for preparation, and Friday evening will be taken to the home of Mrs. Chloe Coppock, 302 East North Street, to lie in state until the hour of the services. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at the West Street Christian church, with Rev. H.R. Pearcy, assisted by Rev. A H. Moore of Indianapolis, in charge and burial will be in Fairview cemetery. Harold was one of the most popular young men ever graduated from the Tipton high school and was a leader in athletics all through his school career. He was born in Tipton 30 years ago being one of four children born to Arthur M. and Ethel Coppock Coy, and resided here until within the last few years of his life. Seven years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Murrel Bess, a former Tipton girl, who was residing in Indianapolis at the time, and the widow and two children, Rosalee and Colleen survive. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Coy and a sister Marjorie an two brothers, Robert and Joe, The family at this time residing in Frankfort, the father being a conductor for the Nickel Plate railroad. The maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Coppock, of North Independence street, also survive.
