He had been a resident of Quimby since 1942 and prior to that lived on a farm in the Quimby and Washta area. Mr. Fox was born Feb. 27, 1909, at Quimby. On Sept 13, 1930, he married Retta Boscoe at Storm Lake. He had worked for Simonsen's Inc. for 40 years, retiring in March of 1979; was a retired member of the Quimby Volunteer Fire Department, having served for 31 years; was a member of the Quimby Town Council for 13 years and had also served on the Quimby School Board. Survivors include his wife; sons, Robert, Cherokee, and Ronald, Quimby; four grandchildren; two greatgranddaughters; brothers, Alby Fox, Gresham, Ore. and Clyde Fox, Aurelia, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Anderson, Hinton. He was preceded in death by bis parents. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Quimby Baptist Church. The Rev. Boyd Huett will officiate. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery under the direction of the Boothby Funeral Home, Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 1:45.
