Description	:	Son of Harold & Alwine (Korte) Larsen. He played baseball and basketball as a youth and football and gymnastics in high school. Butch was diagnosed with diabetes in the fall of 1964. He graduated from Columbus High in 1965 and continued his education at the Nebraska Technical Institute. Butch married Mary "Beth" Marshall on October 18, 1969, in Columbus. To this union, two children were born - Stephanie Ann and Eric Dean. Butch and Mary divorced in 1977. On August 21, 1982, Butch was united in marriage to Dorothy Czarnick at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church at Krakow. This union was blessed with three children - Harold Matthew, Dorothy Christina, and Abigail Josette. Butch worked for RVW for over 30 years as an outside engineer supervising the burying of telephone lines and did hand drawn maps before autoCAD was used. His job took him throughout Nebraska and areas of Kansas, Iowa, and South Dakota. Butch had been involved in the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts while his children were growing up. He enjoyed watching them play soccer, football, and softball. He loved the out of doors and was an avid Husker fan and a collector of Husker memorabilia. Butch had a dream as a young man to have a military career, but after being diagnosed with diabetes, that dream was no longer possible. His son's did follow their fathers dream and are both part of the United States Army.
