"Bill" Feige was born on May 28, 1923 in Madison, SD, the son of Oscar T. and Mamie R. (Shutes) Feige. In his earlier years he attended school in Madison, SD. Bill entered the United States Army on February, 4, 1944 in Fort Snelling, MN. After two years of service he received his honorable discharge on May 4, 1946 at Camp McCoy, WI. In April 1949, he married Joyce Nelson, in Pipestone, MN. They farmed near White, SD. On February 10, 1973, Bill was united in marriage to Ernola (Glatzel) Olson in Luverne, MN. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as drinking coffee with his friends, dancing, bowling, and playing cards. They owned a lake cabin and a pontoon boat and every weekend you could find them enjoying time on the lake. He loved to be outside mowing the lawn and gardening. Spending time with his family and friends was very important to him. He was a member of St. John American Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Bill is survived by his three children; Connie (Lyle) Jensen of Sioux Falls, SD, Janet Willmott of Brookings, SD, and Larry (Joy) Feige of Brandon, SD; three step-daughters Paula (Gary) Johnson of Brookings, SD, Jolene (Alan) Townsend of Conde, SD, Colleen (Greg) Stratton of Sioux Falls, SD; his sister, Delores Otwell of Pleasant Grove, AL; two sisters-in-law, Barb Feige of Madison, SD, Delores Strang of Sioux Falls, SD; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Ernola Feige on May 18, 2006; one brother, Dale Feige of Madison, SD; two sisters, Helen Ivankovich of Anaconda, MT, and Viola Giles of Madison, SD; one step-son, David Olson of Paullina IA; and two grandchildren.
