Read More	Pittsburgh Tribune Review - June 19, 1996 Harold C. Kifer, Jr. 70, of Penn Township, Jeannette, died Monday, June 17, 1996, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born in Penn, July 17, 1925, a son of the late Harold C. Sr. and Helen C. Bollinger Kifer. He was a former owner of Kifer & Son Excavating Co. He was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church of Greensburg and Masonic Lodge #750 F&AM of Jeannette, was a 32nd degree Mason, belonging to the Syria Temple (Shrine) of Pittsburgh, and a member of the Executive East Pioneer Campers Motor Home Association. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Bortz Kifer, on Dec. 19, 1977. For three months during the winter season, Mr. and Mrs. Kifer resided in Poke City, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Lou Solberg Carlson Kifer; five daughters, Mrs. Carl (Carol) Thornton of Clearwater, Fla., Terrie Kifer of Rehoboth Beach, Del., Mrs. Anthony (Bonnie) Costellic, Jr. of North Huntingdon, Lynne Kifer of Jeannette and Mrs. Paul (Elaine) Frisbie of Jeannette; three stepchildren, Mrs. Richard (Charlene) Dawson of Pitcairn, Larry C. Carlson of North Huntingdon and Ronald Carlson of Reston, Va.; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Mrs. Isabell Korchock of Winter Haven, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Lawrence J. McClure Funeral Home, 112 N. Second St., Jeannette, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. John P. Harman officiating. Interment will follow in the Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township. Officers and members of Masonic Lodge #750 F&AM will meet at the funeral home Thursday at 7:30 p.m. to hold services.
