Description	:	Harold Carl Glaser, 87, of Albion died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. Harold was born Oct. 13, 1923, on the family farm in Wheeler County to Carl and Constantena (Thramer) Glaser. Survivors of the immediate family include a brother, Dennis Glaser of Rossville, Ga.; sisters, Roseann Wardyn of Ottowa, Ill., Kathleen Glaser and Constance Glaser, both of Fullerton; nine nephews, eight nieces and a host of friends and relatives. Read More	Harold Carl Glaser, 87, of Albion died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. Harold was born Oct. 13, 1923, on the family farm in Wheeler County to Carl and Constantena (Thramer) Glaser. Survivors of the immediate family include a brother, Dennis Glaser of Rossville, Ga.; sisters, Roseann Wardyn of Ottowa, Ill., Kathleen Glaser and Constance Glaser, both of Fullerton; nine nephews, eight nieces and a host of friends and relatives. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding. He attended Pibel School and graduated from Spalding Academy in 1941. He taught rural school for two years and farmed with his father. After the death of his father in 1950, he took over the family farm, helped his mother raise his three younger sisters, and sold Farm Bureau Insurance. He was the treasurer of the Pibel School Board and the Wheeler County Fair and Rodeo. In 1964, he and his mother moved to Lewiston, Ill., where he was advertising manager for the Lewistown News. He was secretary of the Lewistown Chamber of Commerce and was one of the founders of the Rassmussen Blacksmith Museum. After the newspaper was sold, he purchased and operated the Hotel Spoon River. After his retirement, he worked as curator and tour guide for the Rassmussen Museum. In 1993, he returned to Nebraska. He lived in Columbus, Albion and Fullerton before moving to Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leonard, Bernard and Wilfred; two nephews, Stephen Glaser and Jude Glaser; three nieces, Gina Dunning, Barbara Glaser and Mary Elizabeth Glaser.
