Harold Ernest Zeiler Mar 11, 2010 Harold Ernest Zeiler passed away March 10, 2010, in Billings, of colon cancer. Harold was born on June 26, 1941, to Ernest and Emma Zeiler in Billings. On Nov. 23, 1963, he married Gloria Deines. In 1964, Harold graduated from Eastern Montana College with a BS degree in mathematics. He graduated with a master’s of science degree from Kansas State University in 1973. He taught two years at the Park City High School and his remaining 23 years of teaching at Lewis & Clark Junior High School and Riverside Junior High School. He always helped on the family farm and, after retiring from teaching, he became a full time farmer. Except for approximately 10 years, he lived his entire life on the family farm. He was a member of the Yellowstone Conservation District and on the board of the Canyon Creek Ditch Co. Harold is survived by his wife, Gloria, of 46 years; a son, Rodd Zeiler, his wife, Rezina Zeiler, and three grandchildren, Alivia, Mikalyn and Laneigha; two brothers, Gary (Eleanor) Zeiler and Richard (Celesta) Zeiler; and two sisters, Barbara (Jim) Culver and Linda (Edward) Popp; and nephews and nieces that he thought so much of. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Harold’s life will be on Monday, March 15, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 328 S. Shiloh Road, at 11 a.m. Memorials to charity of one’s choice. Smith West Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
