He married Barbra Barrick Lesh April 21, 1946 at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Uniondale; she preceded him in death May 3, 2011. He graduated from Rockcreek High School in 1943 and was a machinist for Zollner Pistons for more than 30 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a member of the "Foot Patrol" in the Mizpah Shrine and also Bluffton Lodge 145 F & AM. Survivors include a daughter, Nicki (Paul) Mills of Bluffton; three sons, Gary (Kathy) Lesh of Pleasant Lake, Neil (Cheryl) Lesh of South Bend, and Perry (Susan) Lesh of Berne; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray (Roberta) Lesh of Bluffton; and a sister, Ruth Fisher of New Haven. He was preceded in death by siblings, Gerald and Dale Lesh, and Helen Decker. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel with Dr. Bryson G. Bell officiating. Calling hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
