Read More	On Saturday, June 23, 2007, Harold H. "Buck" Hoy joined his old fishing buddies, Paul, Jim and Paul. He had always said, "I need to get there before my buddies drink all the beer. If I stay here much longer they will have caught all of the fish too." Where these men are the fish and beer will never be a scarce commodity. Buck was born to Irvin and May McGinnis Hoy on Feb. 21, 1925, in Billings. As a young man, he served in WWII with the 11th Airborne as a paratrooper in the South Pacific. He graduated from Senior High School in 1945, where he played football for Billings Senior Broncs. Buck also played football while attending Eastern Montana College. He was a member of the American Legion for 62 years and was active in the drum and bugle corp. He was also a member of the BPOE Elks. He married Doris Egger on Nov. 16, 1950. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2000. He started the Taste-T-Bakery in March of 1951. His many customers enjoyed his wonderful baked goods as well as his sense of humor. In July 1976, he closed the bakery and started a tortilla factory. He will be remembered for his generosity and kindness, his fun teasing and his love for his country. He is survived by his wife, Doris Hoy; his children, Sharron, R.J., and Bill; his daughter in-law, Ellen; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Evan Hoy; his sister, Norma Reitz; and his brother-in-law, Cleve Reitz. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon, on Friday, June 29, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1721 Central Ave., followed by a reception at the American Legion Post #4. Friends and family are invited to bring their best tales to share in celebration of Buck's life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bronc Boosters, c/o Billings Senior High School or the Disabled Veterans Transportation at DAV Billings Transportation Account, 3126 65th St. S.W., Billings, MT 59106.
