Finch, 59, of Marshalltown, a native of Kellogg, died Friday, Dec. 9, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton, with the Rev. Craig Peters of the Kellogg United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery. He was the son of Clyde and Verna Porter Finch and was born Sept. 3, 1929 in Kellogg. He attended Newton schools. He was married to Geraldine Krough Jan. 14, 1950 in Newton. Mr. Finch was a former Parsons Co. employee in Newton, had managed service stations and worked for Fisher Control in Marshalltown. He was employed by Midland Transportation at the time of his death. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine; four sons, Steven and Bob, both of Kellogg, Gene of Ferguson and Jeff of Laurel; a daughter, Deborah Eash of Grinnell; 10 grandchildren; a brother George of Carlisle; and two sisters, Joan Baker of Mount Vernon, Mo., and Ruth Ann Erickson of Missouri.
