Buck was born on January 12, 1950, to Oscar Riley and Georgia Helen Ballenger Hamblen in Carrollton, MO. He attended school in both Wakenda and Carrollton, MO. Read More	Harold Lloyd (Buck) Hamblen, age 63, of Waverly, MO, passed away at the Life Care Center of Carrollton, MO, on Friday, November 15, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Buck was born on January 12, 1950, to Oscar Riley and Georgia Helen Ballenger Hamblen in Carrollton, MO. He attended school in both Wakenda and Carrollton, MO. On June 11, 1976, Buck married Teresa J. Hambrick. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Lanny Lybarger, in Carrollton, MO. To this union, three children were born: Chad, Scott and Tara. Buck was a member of the Church of Christ in Wakenda, MO, and a Charter Member of the Dover Lions Club. He worked for Green Quarries, Gunite of MO, and was a Quality Control Inspector for S&K Industries. Buck enjoyed fishing, and playing bingo. His most rewarding time was spent with his family and grandchildren. He truly was a giving, kind man, who enjoyed helping others by volunteering at the Life Care Center of Carrollton, MO. He assisted with bingo, helped deliver the resident's mail, and he enjoyed visiting with the staff. His example to others was to help those that were less fortunate with their health than he was, and he saw his life lesson come true as there were many that lovingly cared for him when he needed their help. Buck is survived by his wife, Teresa of the home; two sons, Chad Hamblen and wife Christine, of Waverly, MO, and Scott Hamblen and wife Stacey, of Dover, MO; one daughter, Tara Fain and husband Jason, of Waverly, MO; one brother; five sisters; and two grandchildren, Kylie and Lilly Fain, of Waverly, MO. Buck was preceded in death by his parents, and nine brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Bittiker Funeral Home, 1201 North 65 Hwy., Carrollton, MO. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bittiker Funeral Home, with Reverend Jerry Curry officiating. Burial will be in Grand Pass Community Cemetery, Grand Pass, MO. The family suggests contributions be made to Family Choice in memory of Buck and they may be left at or mailed to Bittiker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 223, Carrollton, MO, 64633.
