Military Graveside Rites: Provided by the Woodbine American Legion Weiss Post #143 at the Woodbine Cemetery. Fuzzy was born July 4, 1943, to Lamont George and Mable Eva (Netsch) Douglas in Woodbine. He was raised near Woodbine and attended Meadow Brook Country School and Woodbine High School, graduating in 1961. He proudly served his country in the Army Reserves, worked for the telephone company, and he also worked for the Harrison County REC. Fuzzy married Kathy Kahre on Nov. 1, 1968. At the age of 50, Fuzzy had a severe stroke. He then volunteered his time at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Fuzzy enjoyed fireworks, shooting guns, boating, skiing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles, hunting, fishing, and he especially enjoyed telling jokes. He was dedicated to his job. One winter he drove a snowmobile up the Boyer River to Woodbine to help restore power to many REC members. Fuzzy was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Gail Douglas and Lyle Douglas. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Douglas of Logan; grandson, Cody Smith of Logan; granddaughter, Victoria Smith of Northfield, Minn.; brother, Larry Douglas and his wife, Janice, of Woodbine; sister, Karen and her husband, Doug Rickers, of Omaha, Neb.; and many other relatives and friends.
