Description	:	Harold Junior McBride was born January 16, 1935 at Winona, MO to Harold Senior McBride and Mary (Broadfoot) McBride. He departed this life at his home on July 23, 2005 at the age of 70 years, 6 months, 7 days. He was united in marriage August 18, 1956 at Mt. Vernon, MO to Bernice Dyer. To this union, four children were born, which he thought the world of. He had been a logger since he was 15. He was a very hard worker and a great provider. He was one-of-a-kind. He departed this life at his home on July 23, 2005 at the age of 70 years, 6 months, 7 days. He was united in marriage August 18, 1956 at Mt. Vernon, MO to Bernice Dyer. To this union, four children were born, which he thought the world of. He had been a logger since he was 15. He was a very hard worker and a great provider. He was one-of-a-kind. Due to four aneurysms, he was forced to retire in 2004. He then spent the rest of his time with Bernice at the sawmill helping her. They worked together as a team. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bernice, of the home; two sons, Mearl Lynn McBride and wife, Debbie; Ricky Lynn McBride and wife, Sherry, all of Winona, MO; two daughters, Yvonne Asher and husband, Dennis, of Colorado Springs, CO; Sharon Kay McBride and fiancee, Gary Pritchett, of Winona, MO; nine grandchildren, Michelle Jean Marigoni and husband, Blake, of Clinton, UT; Ricky Lynn McBride and fiancee, Heather, of Clinton, UT; Matthew Ross Asher of Colorado Springs, CO; Genna Lea Neal and husband, Robert, of Winona, MO; Melissa Dawn McBride and fiancee, Jimmy, of Doniphan, MO; Emily DaShae McBride Johnston and husband, Dustin; Katie Abigail McBride; Nathan Lynn McBride; Nicholas Franklin McBride all of Winona, MO; and one unborn grandson to arrive in September. Future step-grandkids, Garry Fred Pritchett and wife, Kim, of Eunice, MO; Debra Nicholas and husband, Don, of Winona, MO; Patsy Brooks and husband, Eddie of Cuba, MO; Jason and Justin Pritchett of Winona, MO; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Lea Gordon of Doniphan, MO and Colton Matthew Neal of Winona, MO; 5 step great-grandkids and two great-great-grandkids; one brother, Loyd McBride and wife, Gladys, of Wetiemmpkia, AL; 7 sisters, Nona Enlow of Mt. Vernon, MO; Mae Bradshaw and husband, Glen; Opal McKendry, of Birch Tree, MO; Anna Sue Hutchison and husband, Jerry, of Holts Summit, MO; Bertha Fountain of Patterson, MO; Audrey Griffith of West Plains, MO; Lorene Hoyle and husband, Harold, of Kensley, KS; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Junior was loved by all. Besides his grandkids, he had three special little boys he talked about: Xander Lay, Keegan Roberts, and Wyatt Asplin. Junior thought the world of Flossie Van Winkle. He enjoyed pestering the girls at Flossie's Apple Barrell, playing his washboard with Michael and Rebecca Lindsey. He also enjoyed to crosscut with Kenny, Debbie, Don Bay, and several others. Junior could not believe how many friends he had after he found out about his illness, and he talked of it often, about how blessed he was and how good people were. He had the privilege of going to Logan, OH this past June, with his daughter, Sharon Kay and Garry. He played on eight different stages. He had fun. Then on Father's Day, they stopped on the way home at Rosine, KY to visit the home place of Bill Monroe. Junior also got to go Rattlesnake hunting with his brother, and he always talked of that. Junior is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Senior and Mary Broadfoot (McBride); two sisters, Frances Jones and Maxine McBride. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at the Duncan Funeral Chapel in Winona, MO at 11:00 a.m. with Darrell Jones officiating. Burial took place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Birch Tree, MO under the direction of The Duncan Funeral Home.
