Description	:	Harold Thorson, 84, passed away peacefully after a very short illness, on Oct. 24, 2014, in Billings. Harold was born Jan. 11, 1930, to Mons and Josie Thorson in Forsyth. He attended and graduated from Huntley Project High School and then attended Montana State University. He married Virginia Olsen on June 8, 1952, in Broadview. Read More	Harold Thorson, 84, passed away peacefully after a very short illness, on Oct. 24, 2014, in Billings. Harold was born Jan. 11, 1930, to Mons and Josie Thorson in Forsyth. He attended and graduated from Huntley Project High School and then attended Montana State University. He married Virginia Olsen on June 8, 1952, in Broadview. Harold and Virginia celebrated 61 wonderful years of marriage. They lived in Huntley for five years before moving to Billings and living in the same home for the next 56 years. Harold worked as a mechanic at the Billings Lincoln Mercury dealerships, retiring with Bob Smith Lincoln Mercury after 47 years on June 30, 1999. He loved to hunt and fish, but was most known for his mechanical skills and craftsmanship. Harold and Virginia were also known for their many collections. Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; his parents, Mons and Josie; his brothers, George and Alfred; and his sister, Mary Moore. Harold and Virginia were charter members of Shiloh United Methodist Church and loved their church friends very much. Harold was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed very much. However, we take great comfort in knowing that he and Mom are once again back together in heaven forever. A special thanks to Dr. Malters, Saint Vincent Healthcare, and Shiloh United Methodist Church for their care, encouragement and support. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 22 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 1810 Shiloh Road in Billings. Memorials can be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church.
