Mrs Hazelbaker died after a brief illness with malarial and rheumatic fever. Her maiden name was Harriet Easter. She was born in Adams county, Ohio, and married to John S. Hazelbaker on Feb 8, 1850. Read More	TAYLOR COUNTY DEMOCRAT, Bedford, Iowa, May 17, 1894 Died, at her home in Dallas township, Taylor county, Ia., on Wednesday, May 9, 1894, Harriet A., wife of John S. Hazelbaker. Mrs Hazelbaker died after a brief illness with malarial and rheumatic fever. Her maiden name was Harriet Easter. She was born in Adams county, Ohio, and married to John S. Hazelbaker on Feb 8, 1850. Mr and Mrs Hazelbaker came to Taylor county in 1859, and were consequently among the earliest settlers. They have gained the love and esteem of all with whom they became acquainted. Mrs Hazelbaker was for many years a consistent christian and a member of the Baptist church. She leaves a husband and seven children, three sons and four daughter, to mourn the loss of a devoted wife and a kind mother, who was always willing to sacrifice her own comforts for the good of her family and neighbors. Interment was made in the old Memory cemetery, and the remains were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of friends and neighbors, the funeral cortege being over three-quarters of a mile in length.
