Description	:	Mrs. Harriet Ann Wilcox Passes In Her 98th Year Harriet Ann Carter was born Jan. 13, 1868, in Fleet, Lincolnshire, England. She immigrated with her parents to American in 1872 at the age of four years. They settled in Mitchell, Mitchell County, Iowa, later moving to Park Rapids, Hubbard County, Minnesota in the year 1882. Read More	Mrs. Harriet Ann Wilcox Passes In Her 98th Year Harriet Ann Carter was born Jan. 13, 1868, in Fleet, Lincolnshire, England. She immigrated with her parents to American in 1872 at the age of four years. They settled in Mitchell, Mitchell County, Iowa, later moving to Park Rapids, Hubbard County, Minnesota in the year 1882. On Feb. 14, 1885 she was united in marriage to James Casper Wilcox, to which union eleven children were born. She immigrated with her husband and family to Alberta in 1901, settling on a homestead in the Dried Meat Lake district where she resided up until a short time before her passing in St. Mary's hospital on Jan. 29, 1959 at the age of 97 years and 16 days. She was the last surviving member of a family of eight children. One daughter predeceased her in 1889 at the age of one year; her husband on June 18, 1921; and one son, Harold, on July 4, 1952. She leaves to mourn her passing six daughters; Nellie and Meada, of Vancouver, B.C., Elsie, Eva and Ethel, Edmonton, Alberta, and Ruby of Calgary, Alberta; three sons: Morrell of Edmonton, Arthur in the Daresbury district and Marshall at home; 25 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
