Description	:	From the obituary notice published August 11, 1955 in the Lamoni Chronicle: "Harriet Catherine Danielson was born in Monroe County, near Louisville, on January 1, 1880. Her parents, Joshua and Sarah [Abigail Butrum] Rush, moved to Mt. Ayr, Iowa, when Harriet was eight years old and later came to Lamoni. On April 21, 1900, she was baptized into the Reorganized Church of [Jesus Christ of] Latter Day Saints by R. C. Evans and confirmed by F. M. Sheehy and R. C. Evans. "In the same year, she married Joseph Clarence Danielson. They started their married life on a farm... Her parents, Joshua and Sarah [Abigail Butrum] Rush, moved to Mt. Ayr, Iowa, when Harriet was eight years old and later came to Lamoni. "In the same year, she married Joseph Clarence Danielson. They started their married life on a farm southeast of Lamoni, part of which is the present farm of Dr. E. E. Gamet. Here two daughters were born: Ruth Aileen Staley, of Harlowton, Montana, who passed away a little over a year ago, and Merle Genevieve Weller of Denver, Colorado, who cared for her mother during the past few years. "The Danielsons later moved to Lamoni and built the home now occupied by the Verne Deskin family. Their home was always one of the beauty spots of Lamoni. Mrs. Danielson was a perfectionist and knew the joy of work well done. She was a woman of wide interest and great energy, and at one time was a recognized authority in gardening, particularly in the cultivation of cacti and succulents. She gave talks to garden clubs and judged flower shows in Des Moines, St. Joseph, Missouri, and many other neighboring cities. Mr. Danielson preceded her in death, having passed away August 10, 1949. "Besides her living daughter, Mrs. Weller, Mrs. Danielson leaves three grandchildren: James Staley of Billings, Montana; Mrs. Charles Brock of Clarkton, Washington; Sam Valder Weller of Denver, Colorado; and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves four sisters: Mrs. T. E. Edwards of California; Mrs. Edward Barnes of Kansas; Mrs. Byron Sweeley of Prairie City, Iowa; and Mrs. Laura Baker of Des Moines. "Mrs. Danielson had been in poor health during the past few years and suffered a stroke in February. She was again hospitalized two weeks ago, and passed away August 3 after a cerebral hemorrhage. She is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, IA. "Out-of-town relatives attending the service for Mrs. Danielson were: Merle Weller and Sam Weller of Denver, Colorado; James Keir and David Danielson of Independence, Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Byron Sweeley of Prairie City, Iowa; and Mrs. Laura Baker of Des Moines. Mrs. Charles Hyde and Mrs. Ralph Derry served dinner to the relatives at the Hyde home."
