Description	:	Harriet Mathews was born in Wilburn, England, June 28, 1834. She was married to Joseph Golden in 1851, and to this union were born six sons and four daughters. The family moved to Stanton, England, then to America, settling first in Whiteside County, Illinois, then at Newton, Kansas, where Joseph Golden died. She was married to Joseph Golden in 1851, and to this union were born six sons and four daughters. The family moved to Stanton, England, then to America, settling first in Whiteside County, Illinois, then at Newton, Kansas, where Joseph Golden died. Mrs. Golden was later married to Mr. Thomas Eves and to this union was born one son Harry. After the death of Mr. Eves she came to Cozad, Nebraska to live with her daughter, Eliza Adle. After her daughters death she came to Gothenburg, where she lived until her death on February 20, 1922, 7:30 p.m. at the home of her son, Joseph. Her age was 87 years, 8 months, and 20 days. She leaves to mourn her loss, five sons, Joseph, Charlie, and George Golden all of Gothenburg. Park Irving of North Carolina, Harry Eves of Kansas, one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Williams, of Morrison, Illinois. Two sisters from England, Jand Clarke, and Elizabeth Foster. 27 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of friends. She was united with the Methodist church at Analy, Kansas fifty seven years ago. Funeral services were held Saturday at the M E Church conducted by Rev. A. V. Hunter and burial was made in the Gothenburg Cemetery. Card of thanks We wish to express our sincere thanks for the kindness of friends during the illness and burial of our Mother and Grandmother.
