Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet Jane Bunch,one of the pioneers of the Liscomb neighborhood,who died Thursday morning at the family homestead west of Liscomb, where she had lived for the past sixty-two years,were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Grace Reformed Church. The service was in the charge of Rev. J.F. Miller,pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church of Union,of which Mrs. Bunch had been a member since her early womanhood, assisted by Rev. George W. Mrs.Bunch has nine living children, eight if whom were present. The oldest son James Monroe was a patient in the hospital and unable to attend his mothers funeral.The other children are: Albert and Ernest Bunch of Laurens,Mrs. George Delwayer of Union,Misses Esther,Dora and Nellie of Des Moines and Mrs. Albert Cone and Margaret who live at home. Harriet was born to Joseph Chapin Bentley and Louisa Smith Bentley in Wabash Co.,Indiana, 1841. Her parents came to Bangor Twp,Marshall Co., Iowa in 1853 where she grew to adulthood. In 1859 she married Benjamin Franklin Bunch and they were the parents of 13 children. Four of the children preceded her in death as did her husband. Newspaper clipping, publication unknown
