Memorial mass will be Friday, March 4 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston with a visitation beginning an hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston. Harriet Jean Miller was born April 12, 1929 to Frank and Faye (Gardner) Williams in Mitchell, SD. As a youth, she lived on a farm near Stickney, SD and attended country school near there. She attended and graduated from Stickney High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to John Miller in 1948. She later attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell where she received a 4 year degree in education. After receiving her degree, she taught school for many years in Dimock, SD and Parkston, SD. Harriet was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and the South Dakota Education Association. She enjoyed baking, bowling and fishing and was a second grandma to all her nieces and nephews. Harriet went to her heavenly home on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston at the age of 86. Grateful for having shared her life are her sister, Barbara (Kenneth) Carroll of Mitchell and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
