Description	:	Harriet Null, age 28, died of brain fever on Dec 27, 1887, in Gallia County, Ohio. She was born in 1858, the daughter of David W Null and Sarah Jane Folden, their first child. The 1860 Gallia County census shows Harriet at 1 yr of age in the household of her parents in Harrison Township...but things were much different for her by 1870. Read More	Harriet Null, age 28, died of brain fever on Dec 27, 1887, in Gallia County, Ohio. She was born in 1858, the daughter of David W Null and Sarah Jane Folden, their first child. The 1860 Gallia County census shows Harriet at 1 yr of age in the household of her parents in Harrison Township...but things were much different for her by 1870. Harriet had lost both her parents and she was listed in the census as a 12 yr old, deaf and dumb, orphaned pauper, living in the community Infirmary being supervised by Andrew and Mary Watts. She had a brother, James Harvey Null, that was born in 1862, just before the death of her parents. He was living with the Carter family in 1870. By 1880 Harriet, age 21, is a resident in the Institution for deaf-mutes. 7 yrs later she died. It is assumed she was buried with her parents in the Bethesda Cemetery. Only her father has a tombstone.
