Hammett died at the family home at Schroyer Monday morning, August 12th, at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 29 days. The funeral was held from the home yesterday afternoon at three o'clock, conducted by Mrs. C. A. Hammett of this city. Interment was made in the Marysville cemetery. Harriett Elizabeth Shroyer was born on February 13, 1857 in Ohio. On October 2, 1878 she was united in marriage to Francis Willard Hammett. To this union were born seven children--five sons and two daughters, all of whom with their father survive. Deceased is also survived by six brothers and two sister and six grandchildren. Harriett's parents were John Shroyer and Mary Zortman.
