AGENCY, March 18 - (Special) -- Mrs. Harriet Bryan, aged 80 years, died this morning at 7:30 o'clock at her residence on North College street, after a short illness, the immediant cause of death being heart trouble. Arrangements for the funeral have not been made, but it is probable that it will take place Monday afternoon, providing absent members of the family arrive. George Bryan was present when Mrs. Bryan died. She was born in Berks county, Pennsylvania, November 18, 1828; was married to Charles Bryan, February 26, 1852, who died September 29, 1896. She was the mother of seven children, who survive her: John C., of Plankington, S.D.; Anna M. Shank, of Superior, Neb.; George R., of St. Joseph, Mo.; Charles A., of Pocatello, Idaho; Florence Reynolds, of Agency, Iowa; William Harry, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Miss Clara Bryan, of Agency, all of whom were present. She came from Lycoming county, Pa., her native state, to Iowa, in October, 1865, and to Agency in March 1872. Her relatives and friends were members of the Lutheran church and while in Pennsylvania she united with and was a member of that church. When she came to Iowa, not happening to live convenient to the church of her early choice, she never united with any other church. The funeral services were held at the late home March 19, 1907, conducted by Rev. J. B. Hill. The pallbearers were Dr. D. A. LaForce, Robert Lowery, William Johnson, R. C. Hixson, G. L. Nye and Jesse Ankrom. The funeral was largely attended. Interment was made in the Agency cemetery. -- Contributed.
