Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 Harry Fleek died in St. Mary's hospital in Columbus from injuries received in an automobile accident two miles west of Richland at 10:30 a. m., Sunday, in which his wife, Mrs. Edith Fleek, and his two sisters were injured. Tuesday afternoon at 5:30 Harry Fleek died in St. Mary's hospital in Columbus from injuries received in an automobile accident two miles west of Richland at 10:30 a. m., Sunday, in which his wife, Mrs. Edith Fleek, and his two sisters were injured. While driving to Wahoo to visit relatives, they were surprised by the right rear tire which blew out. Mrs. Fleek kept the car on the highway as long as she could. Then it got out of control and turned over twice and slid to a stop upside down on the crown of the pavement on Highway No. 30. Their injuries were: Mr. Fleek suffered a spinal fracture and was paralyzed from the hips down. Mrs. Edith Fleek had three ribs fractured and several severe bruises. Mrs. Viola Jones, a sister of Mr. Fleek, suffered a fractured collarbone. Mrs. Marjorie Bauman, another sister, had a severe cut on her left knee. Mr. Fleek and Miss Edith Riley were married at the home of Rev. and Mrs. 0. W. Carrell on Wednesday last Week. He was an employe of the Union Pacific railroad. The couple had planned to go on a honeymoon trip later in the year. The body of Mr. Fleek was brought to Solt's Funeral home, and arrangements are being made for the funeral. Mrs. Edith Fleek was returned to the home of her father, R. C. Riley, in an ambulance Tuesday night. Mrs. Bauman and Mrs. Jones are recovering in the Columbus hospital. Marcel Jones, who was uninjured, got out of the wrecked car and helped his mother, Mrs. Viola Jones, and his aunt, Mrs. Marjorie Bauman of Magna, Utah to free themselves. Mr. and Mrs. Fleek were pinned in the car which had a smashed top. By that time a crowd had gathered and highway patrolmen were present and released the couple. Ambulances from Columbus rushed the victims to S t Mary's hospital. car rolled 321 feet before halting. On receiving word of the calamity, R. C. Riley from here went to the hospital to see his daughter, the former Edith Riley, who married Mr. Fleek October 3. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Sutherland also drove there and Mrs. Sutherland stayed a night and a day with them. Rev. O. W. Carrell will officiate at the services for Harry Alfred Fleek in Solt's Funeral home at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon.
