Read More	Harry Christensen was born on April 15, 1907 in Monona County, Iowa the son of J.M. and Mary Christensen. He died on July 14, 1986 at the Denison Care Center at the age of 79. Harry spent his early years on a farm in Monona County where he was born. He attended Country School in Monona County. On March 24, 1935 Harry was united in marriage to Gertrude K. Rath in Denison. After their marriage they settled on a farm South of Denison. In 1984 Harry retired from farming and later moved to Denison in 1986. In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by two brothers: Art and Leonard Christensen. Survivors include his wife, three children: Shirley and her husband George Jackson of Springfield, Miss., Norman and his wife Karen Christensen of Denison; Marilyn and her husband Vicar Ron Baker of Fort Wayne, Ind. Five grandchildren: Valeri Wright, Greg Christensen, Scot Christensen, Theresa Baker and Nichole Baker. Two brothers: Oscar Christensen of Vail; Lyle Christensen of Lawndale, Calif.; and three sisters: Violet Keating of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Myrtle Rath of Denison; Evelyn Hulsebus of Missouri Valley. Funeral services were held on July 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the Huebner Funeral Home in Denison. Burial was in the Crawford Heights Memory Gardens. The Rev. Kurt Kaiser officiated at the services. Mrs. Fred Rabe served as organist with Henry Henningsen as soloist. Serving as pallbearers were Larry Ahrendsen, James L. Baumhover, Everett Miller, John Rath, Duane Hallander and Darrell Slechta. Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of the Huebner Funeral Home of Denison.
