Harry had resided at the Evergreen Laurel Care Center for the past seven and a half years. Harry was born Dec. 27, 1917, at Hesper, a son of Henry and Katie Knause Deines. He married Rose Reiter, Sept. 30, 1938, at Roundup; the couple had celebrated 63 years of marriage. He worked for the Northern Pacific Railway and the Burlington-Northern Railway for 42 years retiring in 1972. Harry constructed the family home in Laurel and truly enjoyed woodworking and he also meticulously maintained his yard. He was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church in Laurel. Harry enjoyed family gatherings, especially Christmas Eve. Survivors include his wife Rose; two daughters, Donna Leuthold and Rosetta Deines; grandchildren, Rick (Cindy) Leuthold, Jeff (Ingeri) Leuthold and Doug Hauf; and great-grandchildren, Katie, Lindsay, Jessica, Keaton, Parker and Chloe Leuthold; a sister, Irene (Norman) Shorb; one brother, Albert Fritzler; two nephews, Darrell McGillen and Jerry Trupp; and one niece, Loretta Lam. Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, at First Congregational Church, Laurel. Interment will be in the Laurel Cemetery.
