Read More	Obituary; Harry Edgar Frodsham was born November 23, 1913 in Taylorville, Illinois to Harry L. and Carrie (Freemole) Frodsham. When Ed was five years old his parents moved to Iola, Kansas. Ed was very active and his father taught him tumbling when he was a small boy. When Ed was in junior high he led and coached a tumbling team. Being a teenager during the depression, work was hard to find, so when Ed was seventeen he left home with Tommy Tidwell's Carnival. They set up rides throughout the sates of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. On off seasons he rode freight cars. He covered most of the states west of the Mississippi. As many young people of his time did, he picked up work for food. He did every kind of work from picking water-melons in Texas to mining coal in Coloradol During the war he worked in the shipyards at Long Beach and Alameda, California. Ed married Wilma Murren on November 10th., 1945, at Yuma, Arizona. After a few years and various homes, they settled down in Anaheim, in Orange County, California. Ed was employed by Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, California. In 1952, he and Wilma Murren adopted a girl, Carol Lynn. In 1960 Lori Jane was born to this union. Ed had always repaired clocks and watches as a hobby, and he started a small after hours shop at his home. Later he opened a shop in one of the small malls in Anaheim. In 1972, Ed's health was failing, so while on vacation in Iowa, he and Wilma bought a house in New Market, Iowa and moved there in November. He opened a clock repair shop on Main Street, then later moved it to his home. He and his friend, Elvin, were avid followers of auctions and spent many Saturdays and evenings at sales. He collected Roseville, Pottery, clocks, and antiques. Ed loved to travel and he and Wilma have been to all except six of the United States, as well as traveling in many areas of lower Canada. He also had a great love of children. Most would come to him quickly, no matter how shy they were. Ed died on March 11, at his home in New Market, Iowa. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles, and daughter, Carol Lynn, in 1993. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Wilma, daughter, Lori, grandsons, Justin and Jason Ridnour, one niece, one nephew, a sister in law, and a host of other relatives and friends. We praise God for the life of Ed Frodsham.
