Description	:	Harry Ervin Hauder was born on May 8, 1912, on a farm southwest of Milford, Nebraska to Joseph & Martha (Steider) Hauder and died Sunday, January 28, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 94 years, 8 months and 20 days. Harry attended country school near Milford and later accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in his youth at East Fairview Mennonite Church where he became a long-time member. Harry attended country school near Milford and later accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in his youth at East Fairview Mennonite Church where he became a long-time member. On June 3, 1934, he was united in marriage to Leona Zimmerman and to this union two sons were born, Richard and Maynard. Together they lived east of Milford where he farmed for many years. He also did masonry work such as basements and other construction jobs. Over the years Harry was very active in Mennonite Disaster Services, volunteering his time by building back many structures ruined by tornadoes. Harry was a very responsible person, a hard worker and was always helping and thinking of others. Survivors include his son and daughters-in-law, Richard & Virginia Hauder of Milford, and LaDonna Hauder of Versailles, MO; 10 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elda Stanford, Greer, South Carolina, Hazel Dickinson, Orange, CA, Myrtle & Walter Rediger, Grants Pass, OR, Lois Drawbond, Glendale, AZ, sister-in-law, Vietta Burkey, Goshen, IN, brother-in-law, Jake Zimmerman, Jr of Seward, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Leona in 1998, son, Maynard in 2004, sisters, Wilda Drawbond, Velma Engle, brothers, Floyd, Lester, William and Clayton Hauder. Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at East Fairview Mennonite Church, Rural Milford, with Pastors William Saltzman and Anthony Troyer officiating. Interment is in East Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 10:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. at Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford, and 1 hr prior to services at church. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Gideons or to Mennonite Disaster Services. Pallbearers were Terry, Brent, Ray, Lynn, Kent & Randy Hauder. Honorary Pallbearers were Eric Martin, Phil Dirks & Jerry Cleaver. Lauber-Moore Funeral Home, Milford, is entrusted with the arrangements.
