Description	:	Harry Glenn Taylor was born January 16, 1924 to Harry J. and Edna Mae (Osterhout) Taylor during a bad snow storm in which Dr. Peacock drove out to the farm south of Grimes with a horse and buggy. He departed this life on January 13th at the Continental Nursing Home in Seymour, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Normalea Moorman on December 25, 1943 at Adel, Iowa and to this union five children were born. He was united in marriage to Normalea Moorman on December 25, 1943 at Adel, Iowa and to this union five children were born. Glenn was an avid hunter and fisherman and liked to fish with his brother-in-law Forrest Ridgway on the Raccoon River for flat heads. He and his nephews spent many nights out with his dogs coon hunting. Glenn and Norma farmed south of the Living History Farm until I-35 divided their farm and they moved their family to a new home south of Humeston. They resided until his retirement from farming in 2006 when they moved to Corydon. Glenn was active on the fair board where he started the club calf groups and the Wayne County Open Steer Show. He was a 4-H leader for many years, served on the Extension Council, was active in the Wayne County Hereford Association and was a member of Odd Fellows and Rebekah's. His pride and joys were his children and grandchildren and raising and showing cattle. He loved all of his years on the farm planting and watching things grow with his wife along his side. Preceding him in death were his son Robert Allen, daughter-in-law Doris, parents, sister Grace, brother Dale, infant brother Robert and grandson Michael Prunty. Survivors include his wife of 69 years Norma; children: Harry Glenn, Jr. (Karen), Linda (Burton) Prunty, Randall (Maxine), Brian (Nancy); sister: Irene Wheeler; grandchildren: Scott, Brent (Tammy), Justin, Tim (Mindy) Prunty, Jeremy (Brandita) Taylor, Tammy (Matt) Davis, Kari (Jared) Dodson; great grandchildren: Colton, Akaylee, Kayte, Kenton, Kinsey, and Olivia Prunty, Conner Wallace, Hunter and Zoe Taylor, Emilea and Ashlynn Brown, Chance Davis, Bently Dodson; and many other step grandchildren, family, and friends.
