Extracted from: The Creighton News 28 May 1925 ****** Obituary of Harry Hawk Harry Hawk was born in Butler county, Nebraska on December 13, 1880 and died at Creighton, Nebr. on May 27, 1925 at the age of 44 years, 5 months and 14 days. At the age of 10 years, his parents moved to Cuming county. He was married to Christina Jacobson on February 22, 1901. In 1914 he moved his family to the vicinity of Creighton, where they have since resided. He leaves to mourn besides his widow, nine children: Henry of Dallas, S.D.; Mrs. Della Bisping of Norfolk, Wm. of Neligh; Ida at Norfolk; Anna, Mary, Lynn. Alma and Ella, all at home and numerous other relatives. The deceased had been affiliated with the Methodist church for many years. The funeral was held on Thursday afternoon from the Methodist church at 4 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Farner and the remains were taken to their last resting place in the Greenwood cemetery. A great many friends were in attendance a the last sad rites. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family, in this, their hour of grief. Card of Thanks We wish to thank our many friends and neighbors for the many kindnesses rendered and sympathy shown us in the illness, death and burial of our husband and father. We also wish to thank the Ladies' Aid and the choir and those who brought beautiful floral tributes. Our deep appreciation is likewise extended to the Electric Light Company and the city of Creighton for the special favors shown us in our time of grief.
