Read More	PARK CITY - Harry Hilderman of Park City died on Aug 10, 2006, at the Billings Clinic after a long illness. Harry was born on Aug 2, 1925 to Charles and Elizabeth Hilderman as the second of 11 children. Harry helped farm with his family in Stillwater County before entering the Army to serve in WWII. He was a proud veteran who seldom spoke of his experience, although when he did, he said that no one should have to experience the horrors he saw. After serving proudly,Harry married Lucille Harding on April 7, 1948. Harry and Lucille raised five children: daughters Kay Stewart (Kent) of Montrose, Colo., Darlene Gunther (Jerry) of Center,Colo., Roberta Marquez (Scott) of Monte Vista, Colo., Becky O'Reilly (Dennis) of Billings and son Harry Hilderman (Sue of Goodyear, Ariz. He lost his first wife Lucille to cancer on Oct. s6, 1981. He later married Jan Kober on June 12, 1982 and lost her to cancer as well on July 8, 1995. He leaves behind his loving wife of eight years, Georgia Shearer Hilderman, whom he married on Aug 22, 1998. Georgia and Harry shared the love of their children, grandchildren and their dog Cookie. Harry drove truck for 20 years before going to work for the Park City School District where he retired after 20 years of service. Harry took great pride in his care of the Park City School; he will always be known as "Uncle Harry" to the generations of students who attended school there. Harry loved to dance and a rousing polka would bring him to his feet. He was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years and also belonged to the Moose and Elks Lodges in Billings. Harry was a lawn artist and could often be seen on his John Deer riding mower sculpting the grass in his immaculate yard. He took great pride in the care of his home. He loved to work with his hands and he spent hours in his shop crafting wood furniture and other showpieces. Harry also held a deep love for animals. He had a unique way of communication with the many pets shared by his family. Harry could "think" of a command and his dog would respond, often without words. Park City has lost a unique personality in Harry Hilderman. He will be revered and missed by his family and friends. Harry is preceded in death by his mother and father; a brother, Robert; sisters, Dorothy, Loretta and Martha; his first wife, Lucille; his second wife Jan and his grandson, Garrick Logsdon. In addition to his wife and children, Harry is survived by a brother, Ben Hilderman, sisters, Mondy Marchinek, Marlene Grubs, Dolores Simons, Pat Williams, Judy Davis, three stepchildren and six step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Park City Cemetery.
