Description	:	Mr. Harry Hudson passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 1988 at the Olds General Hospital after a length illness at the age of 83 years. Harry was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 3, 1904 and came West with his parents to the Garrington District in 1905. Harry received his education at Vale View and Garrington Schools. He married Florence Olson on June 22, 1932 and they farmed in the Garrington district until retiring to Olds in 1967. He was predeceased by his son Ronald; his mother, father and two brothers, Jack and Alfred. Harry was a very community minded person and was always willing to give a helping hand to everyone. He took pride in his home and family. Olds Gazette, Wednesday, April 13, 1988 --------- Harry Hudson arrived in the Garrington District west of Bowden with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hudson, at the age of nine months in 1905. Harry and Florence Olson were married in 1932, shortly after he had purchased a farm of his own. To pay the taxes and feed his family, Harry did a considerable amount of road work for the municipality. In those days most road building or road repairing was done with four horses on the endo of fresno; a job which required much hard labor and long days. And each night he had to return home to take care of his own chores. Later on in life, Harry served on the Garrington School Board and was a director on the Board of the Eagle Hill Co-op for a few years. He also helped to erect the first curling rink at Eagle Hill and hauled logs to be milled into lumber for the Co-op Memorial Hall. The Hudsons had four children.
