Husband of Faye I Miller. Harry Bartlett Passes Away Harry Bartlett, young man living in the south part of this city passed away at his home last Saturday, following a short illness. The funeral took place at the Methodist church in the city last Monday in charge of the Churchill Funeral Home and the sermon was given by Rev. B. W. Thomas. Internment was in the Saint Francis cemetery. The following history of his life was read at the service. Harry Hugh Bartlett, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bartlett was born in Cheyenne County, Kansas, near Parks, Nebraska, February 19, 1911 and departed this life in Saint Francis, Kansas , October 5, 1935 at the age of 24 years, 7 months and 16 days. Although Hugh Bartlett had been in ill health for the past three years, his death was unexpected and came as a shock to his family and many friends. Harry was an honest, industrious young man, cut off in the prime of life, and while we will meet him no more on earth we hope to meet him again in the "Great Beyond". On March 9, 1929 he was united in marriage to Miss Faye Miller. To this union one child was born, but it passed away in infancy. Two sisters and a brother also preceded Harry in death. Beside his wife and parents Harry leaves to morn his departure six sisters and two brothers. The sisters are: Mrs. Ruth Wiley of Haigler, Nebraska; Mrs. Pearl Caldwell of Farmington, New Mexico; Mrs. Georgia Stafford, Parks, Nebraska; Mrs. Leah Carroll, Goodland, Kansas; Mrs. Mae Crabtree, St. Francis, Kansas and Mrs. Francis Woodward of Goodland, Kansas. The brothers; Arthur H. Bartlett and Jim K. Bartlett, both of St. Francis. There are also many other relatives and a host of friends.
