A member of the Christian church he ws... Read More	Obit: Funeral Service For Harry Soesbe Held Tuesday Harry Ivan Soesbe, son of Andrew and Lucy Soesbe, was born near Monticello in Jones County. He attended county schools as a boy. Living in Linn County most of his life. He worked at farming and was one time town marshall at Center Point. He was also employed on W.P.A in later life. On November 5, 1913 he was united in marriage to Cleo McCalley. Six children were born to this union. Two children, Laura Belle and Roland preceded him in death. A member of the Christian church he ws baptized at Center Point about 17 years ago and transferred his membership to Coggon Christian church when he moved to this community. Following a lingering illness, he passed away just before midnight. March 25, 1944. He leaves to mourn going his wife, and four children; Mrs. Dale Taylor of Cedar Rapids; Edward in the U.S. Army at Camp Butner, North Carolina, and Janet, of Dubuque. Two sisters and two brothers also survive. They are Mrs. Ben Zumwalt of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Roy Dighton of Hopkinton, Phillip Soesbe of Clinton, and Herschel Soesbe of Ryan. He also leaves two grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the Coggon Christian church with Rev. Earle Barclay in charage. Burial was made in Mt. Clark Cemetery near Central City.
