He is survived by his wife, Diane Whittington of the home; son: Harry Whittington, Jr. and his wife Vickie of Randleman; grandson, Matthew Whittington and his fiancé Amber Pugh of Randleman; sisters: Pat Fruitt of Asheboro, Mary Idol of Randleman; brothers: Gene Whittington and his wife Linda, Dwight Whittington and his wife Jenny all of Franklinville; half sister, Mary Frances Raines of Ellerbe, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 7 to 9 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church, 3335 Wesleyan Rd., Randleman with Pastor Jonathan Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church, 3335 Wesleyan Rd., Randleman, NC 27317.
