Friday Morning, Heart Trouble Cause Creighton people were shocked and grieved on Friday, when word came that Harry L. Fischer, a salesman for many years, had been found dead in his room at a hotel in Denison, Ia. that morning. Heart trouble was the cause of his death. Mr. Fischer was in an auto accident several years ago, when he collided with a train and this is though to have brought on his trouble. The deceased was born at Columbus, Ind. on August 27, 1865 and died at Denison, Ia. on March 24, 1933 at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 27 days. He was married to Mrs. Flora Scott on January 11, 1910 and they made their home in Creighton up to the time of Mr. Fischer's death. Mr. Fischer had been employed as a salesman for the Burtell Bros. Co., a wholesale stationary and book house, for the past thirty years. Previous to that he was engaged in the drug and jewelry business with James P. Winters at Hubbard, Ia. He was a diligent and conscientious worker and was among the eldest men in point of service of the Burtell Company. He was a likeable gentleman and quick to make friends. Mr. Fischer leaves to mourn, his wife; stepson, Harry Scott and one sister, Mrs. Molly Lindsmith of Indianapolis, Ind, who was unable to attend the funeral services. The remains arrived here on Saturday from Denison accompanied by Wm. Gardner, a salesman connected with the Burtell firm. The last rites were held from the family home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Gramly of Omaha conducted the service and delivered a comforting message. Many friend were present to pay their last respects to the departed one. Floral bouquets in evidence attested to the high esteem this man was held in by friends, who had known him for so many years. Interment was made in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were M.T. Caley, Harry Rees, L.E. Mann, Carl Oppen, W.A Dow and E.E. Jacots.
