Description	:	Harry Lord was born June 24th 1868 in Shakopee, Minnesota. As a youth he attended the common schools of his native town, and afterwards took two years advanced work in Macalester College at St. Paul. However, having a business career in mind, he spent one year in the then famous Curtiss Business College of which C.C. Curtiss was the head. As a youth he attended the common schools of his native town, and afterwards took two years advanced work in Macalester College at St. Paul. However, having a business career in mind, he spent one year in the then famous Curtiss Business College of which C.C. Curtiss was the head. Harry Lord came to North Dakota in July 1890, locating at Park River with his brother Clinton D. Lord, who had previously organized the Bank of Park River. He acted as Assistant Cashier of this bank until 1898 when he moved to Cando, his present home, purchased an interest in the Towner County Bank, now the First National Bank, and became its cashier which position he continues to hold. He is Vice President of the Thompson Realty Company and has other banking interests. As is the case with most people in North Dakota he is extensively interested in farming. In all of his business enterprises, he has been successful. In October of 1893 Harry Lord married Miss Emily F. McEwan, to this union one child was born, a son, George Curtis, now aged fifteen years. He was raised to the Master Mason degree in Golden Valley Lodge No. 26 at Park River in 1896, transferring to Cando Lodge No. 40 when he relocated to that city. He was appointed Grand Tyler in 1909 and by reason of rapid promotion, served as the 27th Grand Master of Masons in North Dakota 1915-1916.
