Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday June 10, 2012, at Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at Smith Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family on the obituaries page at www.WilliamsburgFuneralHome.com Mr. McKenzie was born March 27, 1944, in Kingstree, the son of the late Gerald LaRue McKenzie, Sr. and Doris McCutchen McKenzie. He graduated from Columbia Trade School with a degree in diesel mechanics and was a successful businessman engaged in farming and the timber industry. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. He was a beloved husband, father, and friend- always willing to give a helping hand. The family would like to thank Dr. Raymond Allen and the staff at McLeod CVICU and McLeod Hospice for all the personal attention and care given to Harry. Mr. McKenzie is survived by his wife of 48 years, MaeDean Culick McKenzie. He is also survived by two sons, Harry (Eadie) McKenzie, Jr., of Kingstree, and Greg McKenzie, of Columbia, and one daughter, Angela McKenzie (Steve) Graham, of Irmo; 6 grandchildren, Raina, Raegan, and Kendall McKenzie, Michael and Jack Graham, and Xander McKenzie. Also surviving are: three brothers, LaRue "Snowball" (Thelma) McKenzie and Ricky McKenzie, both of Kingstree, and Harvey (Hope) McKenzie, of Springfield; a sister Mary (David) Brown, of Florence; and a sister-in-law Dianne McKenzie, of Kingstree. Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by a brother Shelly McKenzie.
