Mr Lauderman, who was a man of 34 years of age had been ill for two or three weeks with grip but had been compelled to take to his bed only last Tuesday morning when his illness became very serious. Mr. Lauderman was a man who was held in the highest respect in the community in which he had made his home for many years. He was a man of a generous well-souled make up who was willing at all times to do everything in his power to help those in need. While he made no pretensions to be better than his associates, he lived a life of good deeds and many will remember him for the good he has done and will regret that his life was cut off in its prime. May 20, 1879 Mr. Lauderman was born in the northern part of Louisa County. When he was a boy he came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lauderman to this county and they made their home on a farm in the neighborhood in which Mr. Lauderman's death occurred. He was married about 14 years ago to Miss Jennie Putman. He was very well known in the Pleasant Hill community, having made his home in that section for nearly his whole life. Surviving him are his widow, his mother Mrs. Martha Lauderman who lives on the old homestead, four children: Roxie, Wilmer, Cecil, and a baby girl eight months of age, and three sisters: Miss Henrietta, Mrs. James Thompson of Brighton and Mrs. Ed Nicholson of Washington. The funeral services will be held Friday after-noon at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant Hill Church and will probably be in charge of Rev. B. W. Pettit of Albia. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
