He was a Son of the late Davis and Stella Verona Carter Quinn. Mr. Quinn was Reared and Educated in Pine Bluff; Graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1943. Read More	Harry Newton Quinn, Age 86, of Pine Bluff, Died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Quinn was Born June 8, 1925, in Pine Bluff. He was a Son of the late Davis and Stella Verona Carter Quinn. Mr. Quinn was Reared and Educated in Pine Bluff; Graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1943. Upon Graduation, he Entered the U S Army Air Corps and Served until 1945. Returning Home, he Entered Hendrix College where he Played Football for the Hendrix Warriors; and Graduated in 1949, with a Degree in Business. After Graduation, he Worked for a Brief Period at Simmons First National Bank in Bookkeeping Department. In 1951, Joined his Father and Brother in Davis Quinn and Sons Construction Company. There are Many Buildings in Pine Bluff and other Arkansas Cities which were Erected By Them. He Retired in 1997. He has been Active in the Baseball Program in Pine Bluff since 1969. He Helped with Building of the National Little League Baseball Field at Eighth and Oak, the First Little League Field in Pine Bluff. Since then he has Helped Coach the Jaycee Little League Team for over Forty Years and Served on the Board for National Little League, Junior Babe Ruth and Taylor Memorial Field. He Continued to help Maintain the Grounds at National Little League and Taylor Memorial Field. During Football Season, he Kept Statistics for the all the Zebra Games for Over Forty Years. Besides Sports, he Enjoyed Fishing and Hunting. He was Volunteer of the Year for National Little League and in 2001, he was Inducted in the Babe Ruth Hall of Fame. He was a Lifelong Member of First Christian Church. He was Preceded in Death by a Brother, Davis Carter Quinn. Survivors include his Wife, Betty Sugg Quinn, whom he Married July 7, 1951, in Enid, OK; Two Daughters, Martha E. Quinn and Mary B. Quinn, both of Pine Bluff; Six Grandchildren, Micheal Cathcart of Pine Bluff; George A. Lea, III and Wife, Rexanna, of White Hall; Quinn Lea of Little Rock; Jessica Hakes and Husband, Randy, of White Hall; Anne Parelkar and Husband, Nikhil, of Kansas City, MO; Jeanie Stuckey of Bauxite; and; six Great Grandchildren, Stephen and Gunner Cathcart, Tanner Hakes, Ryan, Andrew and Aubrey Lea; Niece, Barbara Ann Hoover of Bedford, TX; Three Nephews, Martin, Craig and Kent Sugg, all of CO. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 4, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors with Rev Michael Snell Officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison. The Family will Receive Friends at Robinson's Sunday Afternoon from 4 to 6 P.M.
