He was the eldest of the six children born to William Oscar Hart and Mary Ella (Ellen) Mundy Hart. Harry lived in Richland, Kansas with his family during his childhood. On October 31, 1909 he married Bessie Etta Coleman at the home of her parents, William and Eliza Jane Mulanax Coleman, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. On October 31, 1909 he married Bessie Etta Coleman at the home of her parents, William and Eliza Jane Mulanax Coleman, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The couple lived in Glencoe, Oklahoma (Payne County) in 1910, but by 1920 they had moved Pawhuska, Oklahoma (Osage County). In the 1930's and 1940's they lived in Lincoln, Kansas (Butler County), but had moved to El Dorado, Kansas (Butler County) by 1941. They remained there until they passed away in the 1950's. They were the parents of three sons (Everett, Otis and Eugene) and one daughter (Dorothy). Harry worked for the Deep Rock Oil Corporation in the oil fields as a pumper for 29 years before his retirement. In El Dorado he was a member of the First Baptist Church, and the Patmos Masonic Lodge # 97, A.F. & A.M. Harry, age 64 years, died on August 19, 1954 at the local hospital in El Dorado, Kansas from renal failure (Kansas Death Certificate #54-011893). His wife (married 45 years) and four children survived, as well as 7 grandchildren and four siblings: John Wilbur (1895-1962), Larned, Kansas; James Elbert (1889-1990), Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Oscar Truman (1901-1984), Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Docia Viola (1909-1984), Stillwater, Oklahoma. His parents and one sister, Grace Evelyn (1896-1929) had predeceased him. Funeral services were held on August 21, 1954 at the First Baptist Church in El Dorado with the Rev. Harold O. Schlink officiating. The songs "Face to Face" and "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" were sung. Kirby Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
