ANDERSON - - Stricken with a heart attack as he bent over to tie his shoestrings in a bowling alley near Brunswick late Tuesday night, Harvey Cornelius "Pete" Anderson, well-known Brunswick resident, died instantly. He was 37 years of age. Anderson and his 10-year-old son, William T., had stopped at the alleys on the Petersville road, operated by Lester Mason, and the father was reported to have bowled one or two games. ANDERSON - - Stricken with a heart attack as he bent over to tie his shoestrings in a bowling alley near Brunswick late Tuesday night, Harvey Cornelius "Pete" Anderson, well-known Brunswick resident, died instantly. He was 37 years of age. Anderson and his 10-year-old son, William T., had stopped at the alleys on the Petersville road, operated by Lester Mason, and the father was reported to have bowled one or two games. However, he was a spectator at other matches when he was stricken about 10:15 o'clock. The county medical examiner and Deputy Sheriff R. Paul Buhrman conducted an investigation, returning a verdict of death due to natural causes. Anderson was a well-known athlete, having played baseball and being greatly interested in sports of all nature. He was employed at the Brunswick store of Roeike and Dixon. He was a member of Brunswick Knights of Pythias and the volunteer fire department. Residing on First Avenue, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louella Taylor Anderson, and the one son. His mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leopold (Lapole), also survive, together with two brothers, George and Harry E. Anderson, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Snoots all of Brunswick. The funeral took place at the Reformed Church; interment was in Park Heights Cemetery; arrangements were by C.H. Feete and Son, funeral directors.
