Jack was a loving, caring man who spent his time brightening other people's days with his sense of humor and seeing that their needs were met. He was honored by Clarice Tinsley as a "Hometown Hero" for volunteering thousands of hours at Fort Worth-Cook Children's Hospital and at local schools. He had received two Purple Hearts while serving in the Army in Korea. Survivors: Wife, Virginia Goleman of Burleson; sons, Harvey Jack Goleman II of Cleburne, Scooter Goleman of Bastrop, La. and Eddie Goleman of Fort Worth; daughters, Lisa Piepiora of Burleson and Beverly Watson of Bastrop; brothers, O.C. Goleman of Portland, Ore., James Goleman and J.W. Goleman, both of Bastrop, Webster Goleman of Columbia, La.; half-brother, Armster Harrison of Baton Rouge, La.; sister, Edna Mayberry of Bastrop; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
