Burial in Cantril cemetery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Harvey Wollam, eldest son of Henry and Sarah Wollam was born in Columbiana county, Ohio, July 19, 1863 and came to Iowa with his parents when a small child. The family settled on a farm east of Mt. Sterling where he lived for about twenty-eight years. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Lee Fix November 23, 1886 and to this union four children were born, the eldest daughter Ethel Belle preceded him in death. In 1893, he with his family moved to a farm three and one half miles southeast of Cantril which he owned at the time of his death. He united with the Christian church at Cantril, and has been a faithful member for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Wollam celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last November with their children and families. About eight weeks ago he became ill and gradually grew worse and was taken to Laughlin hospital in Kirksville where he departed this life at 1:50 a.m. April 20, at the age of 79 years, eight months and one day. His two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, three children Glen and Clarence of Cantril, and Mrs. Mabel Short of Milton, and three grandsons and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Cantril at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. A.M. Hadley. Iona Wellborn and Beverly Davis sang with Vera Davis as pianist.
