He developed typhoid fever on duty at Centerville, Virginia and died. His body was brought back home and buried in the Bethany A.R.P. graveyard. He held the rank of 2nd Sergeant in Company F of the KIngs Mountain Guards of the 5th Infantry Regiment of South Carolina Volunteers. |
