Description	:	Haskell Robert "Bob" Reynolds, of Greenwood, widower of Thelma Bowden Reynolds, died June 2, 2010. He was 88. Born in Union, he was a son of the late Haskell Bernard and May Harris Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a 1944 graduate of Wofford College and received his Bachelor and Master of Divinity degrees from Emory University in 1949. Bob served Methodist churches in South Carolina at Spartanburg, Columbia, Bishopville, Charleston, Aiken, Easley, Clemson, Cheraw, Orangeburg, Laurens and Moncks Corner. Read More	Haskell Robert "Bob" Reynolds, of Greenwood, widower of Thelma Bowden Reynolds, died June 2, 2010. He was 88. Born in Union, he was a son of the late Haskell Bernard and May Harris Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a 1944 graduate of Wofford College and received his Bachelor and Master of Divinity degrees from Emory University in 1949. Bob served Methodist churches in South Carolina at Spartanburg, Columbia, Bishopville, Charleston, Aiken, Easley, Clemson, Cheraw, Orangeburg, Laurens and Moncks Corner. Retiring in 1984, he later was "recycled" and five times served as interim pastor of small churches nearby. Moving to Wesley Commons in 1989, he also served on the staff as Program and Activities Director. Bob acquired the nickname "Rabbi" (meaning Teacher) while pastor and friend of students at Clemson University. He was named to "Who's Who in Methodism" in 1952 and again in 1974. He was State Chairman for the SC Heart Fund drive in 1975, winning the Governor's Award and the Bronze Medal in 1980. Bob was elected a member of the Southeastern Jurisdictional United Methodist Conference in 1976. In the SC Conference, he served on the Board of Missions, Board of Evangelism, Board of Education, Board of Conference Relations and the Board of Finance and Administration. For six years, Bob served as chaplain of the SC State Defense Force (National Guard) and retired in 1987 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His hobbies included golf, exercising and traveling abroad. Surviving is his daughter, Robyn R. Fischer and husband, Robert, of Casper, WY. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by all of his immediate family. Interment was in Bush River Memorial Gardens, Columbia.
