Her maiden name was Yeargin. She was born of pious parents in Greenville, Co., S.C. Oct 14, 1855, and was brought up in Laurens Co., near Dials church. Ariail, after lingering for some months in feebleness and pain, died in a great peace on Sunday evening. Aug 1, 1886. Her maiden name was Yeargin. She was born of pious parents in Greenville, Co., S.C. Oct 14, 1855, and was brought up in Laurens Co., near Dials church. Just as she stood on the threshold of young womanhood, she was led by the Spirit, under the ministry of Rev. Paul F. Kistler, into the light and liberty of the children of God. She joined the Methodist Church and to the close of life, remained a consistant member. On Dec 19, 1877, she was married to Rev. W.H. Ariail, of the South Carolina Conference and for nearly nine years was to him all that is meant by "a good wife". As the companion of an itinerant preacher I first knew her, and remember now with what cheerfulness and uniform Christian spirit she bore the privations and unsettled state of an itinerant life. She was a help and a blessing to her husband in his home and in his works. She had a wonderful facility for making friends, and the large number of sympathizing letters received by Bro. Ariail from many points, indicate how great a loss these friends think he has sustained. But, alas! no one knows so well as he and his children how desolate is their home.
