Description	:	Hattie Vande Kamp, 88, of Sioux Center died Monday, March 4, 1991, at the Sioux Center Nursing Wing after a lengthy illness. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with the Rev. Holwerda officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens in Sioux Center. Mrs. Vande Kamp, daughter of Albert and Minnie (Hubers) Gerritsen, was born Dec. 8, 1902, in Sioux Center. She lived her youth and attended country school in the Sioux Center area. She married Gerrit Vande Kamp Jan. 24, 1924. the couple farmed near Sioux Center. He died Jan. 17, 1978. Mrs. Vande Kamp was a lifelong member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church and a member of Sunshine Circle. Survivors include a son and his wife, Gerald and Delores of Hardwick, Minn., seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Asa and Wilhelmina Kraayenbrink of Hull, Margaret Meendering of Sioux Center, Donald and Alvina Punt of Sioux Center, Harold and Henrietta Sneller of Orange City, Lloyd and Gracia Punt of Pipestone, Minn., Edwin and Helen Mulder of Munster, Ind., and Don and Gertrude Vos of Ripon, Calif.; 29 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and four sisters, Anna Roelofs of Ontario, Calif., Mrs. Henry (Harriet) Driesen of Hull. Mrs. John (Nellie) Driesen of Rock Valley and Mrs. Louie (Winnie) Wielenga of Orange City. She was preceded in death by a son, Gerrit; three sisters, five brothers and a son-in-law, John Meendering.
