She was born March 18, 1911, at Steele, ND, the daughter of Lewis and Marie (Dahl) Thompson. She later moved with her family to Wenatchee. "Tex" Foster, 91, a 70-year resident of the Lake Chelan area, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002 at Regency Manor Care Center. She was born March 18, 1911, at Steele, ND, the daughter of Lewis and Marie (Dahl) Thompson. She later moved with her family to Wenatchee. She attended schools there and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1929. On Jan. 3, 1932, she was married to Clair T. Foster at Wenatchee. They made their home at Manson and later moved to Chelan. In 1950, she and her husband owned and operated Foster's Food Market until Mr. Foster's failing health forced them to sell the business in 1960. Mr. Foster preceded her in death in December 1994. She was a member of the Chelan United Methodist Church; Chelan Eagles Auxiliary #2218; Chelan Senior Social Club; and had volunteered with the "Gray Ladies" at Chelan Community Hospital. Survivors include a son, Lester Foster and his wife, Jo, of Bothell: two granddaughters, Darcy Pearson of Snohomish and Donna Kulick of Lake Stevens; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers. Services will be conducted Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Chelan United Methodist Church with the Reverend Dan Breznau officiating. Committal Services and interment will follow at Fraternal Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
